European Shared Load
A part/shared load service is a cost effective way to move your goods to and from your destination. The reason this service is so cost effective is that you share the vehicle with other consignments and therefore the vehicle costs are also shared. All consignments are individually prepared, numbered, labelled and inventoried to ensure all items are correctly delivered to you. The main advantage of a part load service is that you will receive the Matthew James service of excellence at the most cost effective price.
European Dedicated Service
A dedicated service gives you the flexibility to choose your collection and delivery dates. This service guarantees the Matthew James service of excellence and peace of mind that your moving dates can be fixed, allowing you the convenience to make travel arrangements and plan your arrival. All delivery dates are subject to EU laws on driving time. We can confirm the timing prior to any booking.
European Premium Service
A direct service combines Matthew James’ service of excellence with the added advantage of a dedicated collection date and express delivery timescale. Handling of your effects is minimised as they remain on the same vehicle throughout. Although your delivery will be carried out in conjunction with other clients consignments, this means you will share the cost of the vehicle and your consignment will be prioritised for onward delivery typically within 7-10 days of collection.

Ireland is quickly becoming an attractive place for professionals and expats from all over the world. With a stable economy, friendly citizens, and a breathtaking landscape, it’s no wonder that Ireland features on many top 10 lists of countries to move to within the EU. The weather will be much cooler than many parts of Spain, but Ireland’s pub culture goes a long way to combat the inclement weather with hearty atmospheres, warm fires, and its delicious national drink, Guinness. Year on year, Ireland’s house prices are rising, so there has never been a better time to relocate to this magical island. Over twelve thousand Spanish expats live in Ireland, with the majority of these living in the country’s cities, such as the capital city Dublin in the East, and other major cities such as Cork in the south-west. Meeting people is easy, as internationals host get-togethers that brings the expat community together, and offer answers to many burning questions. Even though Ireland has its own language known as Gaeilge, English is still the language most commonly used within the country.

How can I move to Ireland?

If you are from a country within the EU, EEA, or Switzerland you have a visa free right to stay in Ireland for three months (extended to six months if you are looking for a job) as long as you have a valid passport or identity card. If you want to stay for an extended period of time, then you must either be already in work, be able to prove that you have enough money to sustain yourself in an emergency, sickness insurance to support yourself and your family if you have one (even though healthcare in Ireland is free), or be enrolled as a student or vocational trainee.

Because of your EU status, there is no need to register with the local immigration office, and you do not need a residence card to live there unless you are wanting to stay there permanently. You are entitled to apply for a permanent residency after five years of continued living in Ireland, which is not affected by absences of less than six months, or one absence of 12 months for pregnancy and childbirth, serious illness, vocational training, or if you are posted to another country by your employer in Ireland. Should you meet the criteria after those five years, you can undergo a citizenship test.

Those with incomes from both Ireland and from a different country will need to fill out a tax return form by the 31st of October every year, which can be submitted online or in the post.

If you are aiming to retire in Ireland, then you must be able to provide independent verification of your compliance with the financial conditions which must be certified by an Irish accountancy firm. All details and processes can be found on irishimmigration.ie
